smtp process vary from 30 - 45 mostly around 34. Idle rarely hits below 90.

Good point. These mailing are only run a couple times a year. So I think I will maintain the status quo. Guess next step is virus scanning.
Oh by the way IMGate caught 45 "Snowhite" viruses yesterday.
