Hi. All of a sudden I'm getting MX Connect Fail messages, so I go in and look and somehow my official hostname's IP Address got set to 192.168.0.2. So I changed it back to 216.242.16.196 and it appears to be working, but I'm still seeing some MX Connect Fails.
I read the article at Ipswitch:
To correct the problem go into the registry to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ipswitch\IMail\Domains key and change references to the internal IP address to the external IP address.
Exactly how do I do that? There are 2 keys under that are named as IP Addresses. The 2 IPs above. I can't change the 192.168.0.2 address to 216.242.16.196. So, exactly what would I change it to? There are no IP address values under the keys to change, so I'm stumped.
If anyone has the time to explain how to set BindToIP if you think it would be helpful, I'd appreciate it. I'm not real comfy screwing with the registry. I don't even like opening it up and looking at it, let alone editing it. :) And the instructions are vague, at least to me.
