Maybe the key to solving this problem is the interesting fact that there seems to be a pattern in that most of us who are having issues have problems some amount of time AFTER installing patch, server, etc. Like below, the problem occurred after 30 hours. Perhaps this could be helpful in solving this issue, since it seems to be the only common element.

And with 5.04, 5.06, 5.08, and all 6.0x versions.

no. Ipswitch must solve it, but they can't.
> > Does everyone who has this problem running Win2000 or multi-processors?
Yes. I was running NT 4.0 from 5.04 to 6.05 and we had this problem. Last week, I installed a new server with W2K and imail 6.06 and migrate imail from one machine to the other. After 30 hours running on the new installation, smtp auth began to stop.
> > Does anyone have the SMTP AUTH working?
No. I've tried on 3 boxes and several versions of Imail, but it always fail to run correctly. After 1 year having this problem we're migrating to another mail server.
