Subject: SMTP mailer/relay

Since we had a couple of situations when our remote mail server was unavailable to some subsidiaries because of some routing problems, whereas these subsidiaries could still connect to my local office, I am thinking about installing SMTP relay/mailer with lower priority MX in my office. Whenever our main mail server is unavailable from client site, clients will use this second MX for mail domain to reach my local SMTP that will then forward their mail to our main Ipswitch server.

Anyone knows about inexpensive SMTP for NT 4.0 for this purpose? Maybe, even some free stuff (dreams, dreams...) ?

I tried Mercury, but couldn't find a way to make do what I needed.

thank you in advance
