It could be a convergence issue if you've recently changed your DNS. Two routers disagreeing on a path can cause you to be unreachable. If it's a recent change, it will slowly resolve it's self in a day or two.
BTW AOL Email in the Bristol Tennessee USA area is out. We contacted them about a customers remote office there not being able to send Email to the home office here. The response we got was that their network engineers were aware of the problem and were working to resolve it.
