Subject: RE: Re[2]: Time to fix "Refuse NULL <> Senders" option!

To be honest, I am willing to take the risk to block the spam. The owners of the company I work for are extremely offended by graphic "Enlarge your penis" e-mails and such. And, since it seems, mostly the pornographic spammers are the main ones that use the null sender mail blasters, it's worth it to avoid the aggravation.

We liked the spam # that was blocked, but along with it we found tons of emails # in our log that were legitimate listserver emails. At first # we thought this was all spam, but upon closer look we found that # many listserver or newsbot emails have null senders, including # many from the likes of ZDNet and other major news organizations. # So look closely, with null senders on, you may be blocking # legitimate mail. # # -- # Roger Heath # # advanced internet desktop: www.activatordesk.com # antivirus antispam email : www.activatormail.com # master internet index : www.infogrid.com # ems als communications : www.general-devices.com # # ----- Copy of Original Message(s): ----- # # P> I have null senders blocked at my mail server.
