If you use the same external ODBC database for both your IMail users and for your webusers, it's a simple matter to have them logged into your website, then with one click log them into the IMail web system... just pass their username and password via hidden fields with ASP to the same login form action that IMail uses on its Welcome page.
As for the look and feel of the templates, if you devote a few days of dedicated effort, you can make them look like whatever you like, and blend into your site quite nicely... especially if frames are an option. IMail v6 gave us the equivalent of server-side includes and conditional logic with the web service, which makes designing the templates easier more efficient.
