Subject: RE: iMail Server to AOL, part II
Terry L Fritts (72p/+2r) Posted: Thursday 28 Dec 2000 This post: 40 views, +0 rating
This brings back old memories. I remember not too long ago a contact whose AOL email was so bad that he kept two accounts and would ask evryone to send mail to both of them. The two accounts never received the messages at the same time. The last I heard the record was one week between one box receiving a message and the 2nd box receiving the same message. AOL must be better now though because I don't hear nearly so much complaining about it.
I agree with Len though. 20 Million email accounts makes my mind reel too.
I have at least one client who has an MSN email account and it takes him several days to receive messages - even if sent from a hotmail account. He honestly didn't understand that I expected my email message to him to be delivered as we spoke on the telephone.
Then again I have a few clients who tell me they only get 75% of their email and just give me another account to use for them.
