Which version of Illustrator are you using? 9 has a particularly nice feature, which is that you can export your files as SWF and then import them into Flash. You might have to break it up a couple times because it creates ALOT of Groups out of the separate illustrator elements, but other than that it works quite well. I'm not sure if earlier Illustrator versions have this, but I believe there's an Illustrator plug-in you can download for earlier versions.
