Two issues in this one email:
1) Mailing list strangeness: I received Flasher Digest #4143 on Fri. 12/29/00 at 2:05pm, and Flasher Digest #4145 the next day Sat. 12/30/00, 6:51pm, but did not receive Flasher Digest #4141 until Sun 12/31/00, 4:37am!
#4141 was followed shortly thereafter by #4142 at 6:10am and then #4144 at 6:11am.
Totally out of whack!
2) I think it's quite harsh to accuse Samir Ahmed of spamming just because he sent a link that also had the name "Samir" attached to it. Samir is an *extremely* common name worldwide. I personally know at least three Samirs just here in the San Francisco Bay Area. To accuse him outright of some devious ulterior motive just because the name appears to be the same is ridiculously harsh and unjust.
The Samir Ahmed on this list is obviously already gainfully employed as the head of a development team (we've seen his Flash work!), not to mention that he lives in an area of the world which is not exactly a center for companies that rely on spam to make a profit. It's not impossible that he could be a spammer, but extremely unlikely.
Polite inquiries should always precede such accusations, especially when there is no proof of culpability whatsoever. Innocent until proven guilty, remember?
I'm sorry that you had to experience this, Samir.
