I agree. You are allot better off to put an event at the end of your flash file and simply wait for that with an event interaction than you are to continually "pole" the flash movie to see if it is playing or not.
Are you using the ActiveX Xtra with the Flash ActiveX control or are you using the Flash Xtra to put your flash into Authorware? Either way you can set up an event at the end of the flash movie to notify you when it is over.
PS: I won't mention the the Windows Media Player has an "EndOfStream" event which is always sent by the player once the stream has finished. Nice because you don't have to remember to add the event yourself.
