Haven't tried this yet, but it seems you might be able to achieve tight synchronization using ASF files for the audio and embedding events that highlight the text. Mark Kelley posted some info about this: http://listserv.cc.kuleuven.ac.be/cgi-bin/wa?A2=ind0004A&L=aware&P=R6014&m=2 0612
