How about "complete"?

Think of it as a learning form that without being completed can not be utlized/submitted. It requires using qualifiers if you are referencing only a part of the program, but it has always been the strongest from our perspective.

Others we have used in the past under similar constraints:

"review" "study" "attend" "view"

Perhaps some of these will help.

I'm trying to find an appropriate general term (verb) to describe what a user/student/trainee does when they "take" online CBT/EBT/WBT. My dilemma is that there does not seem to be any accurate definitive terms - just semi-adequate euphemisms.

Here's my current (disappointing) list:

take/taking/takes/took (take it where?) accomplish/accomplishes/accomplished (seems too past tense) performs/performing/performed (too reminiscent of playing an instrument)

views/viewing/viewed (too passive) engages in/engaging in/engaged in (engage the warp engines, Scotty) interacts with/interacting with/interacted with ("The student will log on and interact with the training?" - yuck!) train/trained/training ("The student trains with the training?" - I don't think so.)

None of these terms seem to quite describe the action very well. Any suggestions? Anybody?

I think our industry needs a new word to describe this. People "surf" the web, they "go" online, users "login/logon," and students "__________" online training.
