Another approach is to shock your Authorware-piece, if you have the ActiveX Plugin for Authorware installed.
There might be slight differences in the menunames below, because I am translating from my danish version of Power Point to english.
Then in Power Point:
1. View > Tools > Control elements > More Controlelements > Macromedia Authorware Web Player Control 2. Then draw a box on your your Power Point slide, near the size of your Authorware piece. 3. Then the well known Macromedia logo for Authorware Web Player shows up. 4. Right-click and press Properties and fill out the fields with the exact size of your Authoware piece, filename...
The path to your Authorware file has to be hardcoded to my knowledge (anyone knows how to use a relative path?)
Now you are the proud owner of a truly interactive Power Point-presentation.
You can use the same approach for Flash in Power Point.
Hope this helps

Hi, all,
I am working on a demo that highlights courses that have been done in several facilities. One of the courses I want to launch from powerpoint is set up to launch from the runtime exe with a parameter passed by a shortcut that specifies the course file (.a5r). I tried pointing powerpoint at the shortcut, but that just tries to launch the AW runtime, without success. Pasting the shortcut's property into the link line popped up the message "Unable to open specified file." Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks,
Amy
