Today at 3pm ET, the hacker group Silver Lords defaced a Web site for one of the most respected news organization in the world. The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Web site www.monitor.bbc.co.uk which is titled "BBC Monitoring" and described as "BBC Worldwide Monitoring draws upon radio, television and news agency reports from over 1000 sources in over 140 countries" was defaced with the same, standard graphic Silver Lords places on all their defacements.

To our knowledge, this is the first time a BBC Web site has been defaced.
