SMTP AUTH is never disabled as a function, ie, any SMTP client can so SMTP AUTH and Imail will play along.

but if you check "disable SMTP AUTH reporting", Imail won't announce it in the SMTP session. This stops some SMTP clients from even attempting SMTP AUTH. so UNcheck
