Can YGM be used on to login to a different domain (ie. domain1.com hosts ygm while domain2.com hosts the mail server)?

The default view of the YGI display would only incur a small additional .asp page load for each page on which it's displayed. If the user did not log in, it won't hit the IMail server at all.

Once the user is logged in and the authentication cookies are available, the YGI system hits to IMail server on the backend, doing a form submission similar to a login behind the scenes and pulling back the new msg count and session string from the IMail templates (this happens very very fast on a LAN with our custom COM object); that won't put additional stress on the webserver, but does hit the IMail box. However, you probably should consider that the little back-door new msg check might actually reduce the load on IMail, since many users won't find it necessary to open up the entire system and frameset just to see if new mail is present.

Hope this helps, Ron
