Is it possible to have Spectra sites running on virtual servers on one webserver?
I have a Solaris box running Netscape Enterprise webserver. My spectra app is called 'webd' It resides in a directory called 'webd' that is in the document root directory of my webserver. I get to it by going to http://spectrabox/webd/ (This works fine) I have other apps (including Spectra apps) running on this server which are accessible in the same manner, just by replacing the 'webd' part of the URL with their app name.
I want to make a domain name for each of these apps. i.e. Instead of using http://spectrabox/webd/ I want to use http://webd.thiess.com.au This works just fine for CF apps, but Spectra wants access to /allaire/spectra in the webroot and has no access to it with the virtual server setup.
The only option I can think of is to put a sym-link in every app directory in the webroot that links to the /allaire directory in the webroot. This option does not appeal to me very much.
Does anyone know of any other way to do this? Has anyone else had any success with Spectra apps running on virtual servers.
